Description
I just purchased this vintage Chinese porcelain ginger jar from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece is well executed with striking detail to the hand painted enamels which feature foliate scrolling. The Famille Rose palette shows rich color, nice depth and fine detail. The smaller sized jar measures 5" high and 4 ½" in diameter. The base bears the pictured red stamped character mark. The interior is fitted with a vintage cork stopper. Both the jar and lid are in excellent condition with no damage. This lovely jar would make a nice addition to your collection of Chinese porcelains.
