    Description

    Chinese Qing dynasty hexagonal form export porcelain tea caddy decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a Canton pattern featuring a traditional building in a mountainous landscape, boats on the water, and a lone man fishing. The base is unglazed.
    19th century. 5” high x about 4 1/4” diameter at the widest point. Good overall condition. There
    are a few old brown hairline cracks on the mouth and top.
    A longer fine brown hairline runs down one side.
    A fine brown line on the base might be from original production.
    This tea canister is from the private collection of a former American resident in Guangzhou and Beijing from 1983-1987.
