Description
The grain on this pipe has to be seen in person to truly appreciate it, wow!!!! While this pipe does have a ton of small dings on the bowl, the chamber remains crisp and sound. Made 51 years ago in 1970 it's a classic shape 60 F/T, a shape that is well known for its performance and all around quintessential English attributes. The bowl almost shows a touch of Pot to it as it is wide and cylindrical with just a bit of taper while sporting thick walls and a generous chamber. Shank is sturdy and round while well proportioned and meets the original vulcanite stem with crisp white spot and wide fishtail bit. The Bruyere finish of the 1970's changed from their early counterparts becoming more of a reddish orange with golden undertones and certainly nonetheless beautiful. Again, the grain on this briar is remarkable, layers upon layers of fine straight grain radiating out of birdseye on the heel while to the rear of the bowl it has so much depth it looks 3D! Overall clean with minor aesthetic issues, this Dunhill promises an unparalleled smoking experience.Nomenclature: DUNHILL BRUYERE 60 F/T, MADE IN ENGLAND0, 4, A
