Description
RARE SIGNED BY WRITER AND ARTIST 1959  FIRST EDITION OF "THE DRESS DOCTOR". EDITH HEAD WON 8 ACADEMY AWARDS FOR COSTUME DESIGN  FOR HER LEAD  AS A FASHION CHIEF OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES.
JANE KESNER ARDMORE MADE THE SKETCHES FOR THIS BOOK WITH HER TALENTS. THERE ARE ALSO MANY AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE COSTUMES MS. HEAD CREATED FOR THE GOLDEN SCREEN.
BOOK CONDITION IS VERY GOOD VINTAGE, SLIGHT YELLOWING OF PAGES WITH MINIMAL FOXING OF INSIDE COVER PAPERS. THE DUST JACKET HAS MINOR CHIPPING AND YELLOWING ALONG EDGES, WITH SMALL TEARS AT BOTH UPPER CORNERS, FRONT AND BACK. THERE IS A TEAR EXTENDING HALFWAY ACROSS THE MIDDLE OF THE BACK AND THERE ARE ABOUT 4" OF SEPARATION FROM MAIN COVER TO BACK FLAP. IT IS WELL CONTAINED WITH THE COVER HEREWITH DESCRIBED. IT HAS BEEN PROTECTED BY A CLEAR COVER WRAP TO PRESERVE IT.
