for auction is a vintage A H Reid Archimedes push screw driver. It is as found and could use some cleaning. The tool operates smooth and easy. It is 13'' long in the closed position. Fully extended is measures 22 1/4'' long. The top handle knob is in good solid used condition. The bottom section of the top handle has a tight ,stable crack in the wood.  The bottom section of the top handle spins independently of the top knob portion of the handle.  The shaft of the screw driver is marked  A H Reid  Philadelphia PA. Patented Dec 12 1882.  down at the bottom near the screw driver tip, the brass section spins freely and independently  of the screw driver tip. .
