    Description

Rare 1950s Preen Paste Wax Advertising Tin Can with Lid! For Floors, Furniture, Automobiles!
    Up for auction is a
Vintage “Preen Paste Wax” Advertising Tin Can!
This is a rare tin can for one pound of
    Preen Paste Wax
    from the
    1950s
    !
    This wax was made by
    The Preen Company
in South Norwalk, Connecticut, USA and advertised for use in
    “Bowling Alleys”
    and as
    “Crystal White”
. The can includes its original lid advertising
“A Brilliant Paste Polish for Floors, Furniture, Automobiles”
. The tin can measures about 2½” tall x 5” diameter. As shown in the photos, the tin is in very good condition for its age with nice bright colors and details. It has full color lithography in dark brown and yellow on a white background with the old
    Preen
logo and directions for use on the side. There are some scuffs or scratches, small marks, and possibly a light ding or dent that you would expect for such old tin container. The bottom of the tin can is clean with some normal surface oxidation, and the interior is still very shiny with little surface oxidation. The top and bottom fit together nicely, and there are some small indents where the lid was opened with a screwdriver during normal use. The original store price stamp
    “HWS 9”
is also on the can. The can is empty but there may still be a little wax residue inside. This vintage “Preen Paste Wax” advertising tin can would make a great addition to your collection!

Thank you for your business! Every item I sell is guaranteed to be as described, and I do everything possible to provide 5 STAR service. If you are satisfied, please leave 5 Star positive feedback. If you are not fully pleased, let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the transaction before leaving any feedback. Almost all items are vintage: they were purchased at estate sales/auctions, yard/garage sales or flea markets, and are sold “as found”; the history of previous ownership and storage conditions of the items is unknown, and I have no idea if a previous owner smoked or had pets. I do not accept returned items simply because you’ve changed your mind. Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable. Attention International Customers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s Customs Office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” since US and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
