    Tissot Navigator stopwatch with Lemania movement (note the “LWO” maltese cross in the upper right of the photo taken during movement servicing in January 2020 (complete overhaul with new operating lever, stop lever spring, and mainspring). By the way, this had to go halfway around the world to be serviced.
    Funky mod design is a great complement for your Sideral collection. Plastic case is a very light dull grey and is in great shape, as is the crystal, crown/pusher, and reset button. Hands have a little flaking, which can be remedied easily. I did not want to interfere with the original nature. This is a monoshell design.
    - Winds smoothly
    - Pushers work smoothly
    - Hands reset correctly to zero
    - Elapsed looks right (but I am informed that there is not much adjustment possible).
    This is sold for collectors, and although “30 seconds” looks like “30 seconds,” I would not use any mechanical stopwatch to time rocket engine burns or critical navigational tasks.

    Descriptions
    are accurate as of the date and time the item is listed. There is no other warranty, express or implied. If you have a specific question, ask. If you don’t get a satisfactory answer, don’t buy. If there is a conflict in a spec I give and one the manufacturer does, follow the manufacturer.
    Pictures.
    If it’s in a picture, it is part of the description. We generally do not do “movement” pictures because opening the back risks marks in some cases and can compromise what little moisture resistance older watches still have.
    Authenticity.
    Aftermarket cosmetics parts are disclosed where known. Newer parts supplied by a watch’s manufacturer are not “aftermarket.”
    Used or Pre-Owned.
    Unless otherwise stated, please assume that any item listed as “used” or “pre-owned” will have minor use marks somewhere.
    Water resistance.
    Don’t get watches wet, period. Older watches are never really water resistant; newer ones have confusing notations (like “10 bar” or “100m”) that suggest they can be submerged, can go swimming, etc. The reality is that water will get in wherever and whenever it can - and the seals that keep it out, unless periodically replaced, will fail. If you plan to go diving, have the watch pressure-tested. We do not warrant watertightness.
    Automatic/manual wind watches
    have a tremendous number of performance variables (position, temperature, user activity level), and operating specs vary from brand to brand. Seikos do not have the same specs as typical Swiss watches. If the performance is described, it is measured dial-up - the baseline position for determining performance.
    Vintage watches
    , unless they are quartz, do not run today like they did “on paper” 50 years ago. For a mechanical watch, a minute a day would be a reasonable performance expectation for a 50-year-old item. Most run better than that, but as things accumulate wear and tear, positional changes become more pronounced.
    Batteries (removable)
    are not warranted. Electronic watches (quartz or other) will be shipped crown-out (i.e., turned off) where possible to conserve battery power. We don’t ship items with dead batteries.
    Packaging
    will be appropriate to the fragility or shock sensitivity of the item. After 22 years on eBay, you get some perspective on what is fragile and what is not. Most things are not fragile, and millions of tons of packaging (and millions of barrels of petroleum) are wasted on unneeded packaging that serves no purpose.
    Shipping speed.
    We do not control (1) the speed of the postal service; (2) what foreign tax and customs authorities may charge; or (3) product design. On this last point, we are not responsible for how convienient (or not) the controls on an item are, whether it is comfortable, etc.
