    Description
    *Early* Comoy’s LIONS HEAD
    Round “MADE IN ENGLAND” Stamp
Made in 1938 to Mid-1940's Era
    Really Gorgeous Grain, Rich Color
441 Hex Panel, Near Mint Shape
Offering a super-cool early and quite gorgeous pipe by Comoy's called LIONS HEAD. This is a branding offered
    early on
by Comoy’s, but not often seen. This specific pipe was likely produced in the timeframe of 1938 to mid-1940's. The dating is determined by the Country of Manufacture stamp MADE IN ENDLAND, with IN in the center of circular stamp, and that was only used for a short period.
In an article by GL Pease:
The third period, approximately 1938 through the early to mid-forties or so, has the same "COMOY'S" stamp and grade, with the country of origin changing to the circular "MADE IN ENGLAND," the word "IN" in the center of the circle formed by the words "MADE" and "ENGLAND."
The shape 441 is a Comoy’s hexagonal bowl pipe with square shank and taper bit, a great retro design, and in phenomenal condition! It’s really gorgeous to my eye, with a natural golden-brown color, showing off some wonderful rich and contrasty grain patterns. It’s is in near mint overall condition, with almost no wear and a fresh appearance, which is amazing for about an 80-year-old pipe! The inside of the bowl is seasoned from use and age, and the pipe should smoke well early on, draws very easy. The stem has (L) Logo clearly showing on the side for Lions Head, and has just a hint of tooth wear, and it is very well cut from a good-looking piece of vulcanite! It weighs in at about 1.15 ounce. I’m a huge fan of early Comoy’s pipes, as I respect the brand, and I like well-seasoned briar for its smoking quality too.
Carefully reconditioned, freshly polished and is ready to load up.

Combined shipping of multiple items no problem! Saves you money...
Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner. Pipe stand not included with any pipe.
